This update is unstable making the app unreliable. HIKVISION iVMS-4500 is a mobile phone surveillance application just based on iPhone, which supports the full line of Hikvision products, including the DS-7000/8000 series DVRs (dual stream models), DS-7300/8100 series DVRs, DS-9000/9100 series DVRs, DS-6000/6100 series digital video servers, as well as network cameras and speed domes that support standard H. Beginning of November 2021: The app had been working well with 4.7.10, but since they went to 4.7.11, we’ve had “exceptions” that have caused the app to either become unresponsive or literally dump all of the camera live views, requiring all of the cameras to be selected again. If you’re fortunate enough to still have 4.7.10, wait for another update. The app worked fine prior to installing 4.7.11. If I’ve been looking at our individual cameras for any length of time and then want to swap back to multi view, the moment I press “16”, the app has an instant exception that not only crashes the app and deselects all live view cameras, it can require the phone to be locked and unlocked or even rebooted.
Update: After using the new update for 2 months, their claim that it if fixed bug issues is wrong. Upon reopening the app, all cameras have been deselected for live view. When in landscape, either trying to go back to multi camera view or back to portrait view on the single camera often results in the app “hanging”/crashing. I can no longer go to landscape mode with either the group cameras or individual cameras.
Update February 2022: After several more months, the app is becoming more unstable.
